Selecting a whole table vs. selecting cells

In order to copy/paste/cut a table or align it (with , , ) , it has to be selected as a whole, in the way described at the image below : position cursor on its left side, hold left mouse button and drag across the table.

All cells of the now-selected table are highlighted, plus a little width on its left side : this serves to make a distinction to the case where all the cells are selected, not the table.
